Spring Break
Hello!!!!
long time no chat.
how are you peoples doing?
Today, me and my friend went to Balboa park by train.
I road the Sprinter with Stefanie and we rode all the way to Oceanside.
The Sprinter was kinda small, but it's a local train so yeah. The seats didn't have cushions on it though. But I guess because the ride isn't that long.
Then we rode the Coaster from Oceanside to San Diego. That ride was a long ride but nice, we sat on the 3rd level. Cuz it's fun. lol. Then we road the bus to Balboa Park. The weather was sooo nice, cuz it was close to the ocean so it wasn't hot. :D
We passed by the Horton Plaza..when we were riding one of the busses, and we were all like: oooooh I wanna go shopping! lol
But too bad Spring Break is only 1 week. D:
In Balboa Park we went to the Japanese garden.
then we ate at the little tea shop, they sell udon, Japanese snacks and drinks.
Then we walked to the gift shop! That was neat, they had things from different International countries. I got a lil something for my Japanese sensei. ^_^

何で日本と日本語を好きですか?
Another thing that Japan is famous for is something every teen spends their whole break on is... ya guessed it, video games!! I looove their art and how much time they put into making them. Making it the worldwide consumers etching for more. XD
I also love how childrens look, they're so sooo adorable. ^_^ Japan is pretty fun place to be, just if you're walking, you have to watch out for the cars in the tiny roads.

just a lil peak at our planet
Just wanted to add: HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! YEAR 2008!!! ^_^
Global Warming
Global Warming refers to the rise in the Earth's temperature resulting from an increase in heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere. In recent days, the Earth has been having strange weathers happenings such as hurricanes, wildfires, and floods. It is a fact that global warming is caused by us humans by burning fossile fuels such as coal, oil, greenhouse gas, natual gas, and cutting down forests. The global warming we are experiencing is not a natural condition.
“Global warming is tipping other regions of the world into drought in different ways. Higher temperatures bake moisture out of soil faster, causing dry regions that live at the margins to cross the line into full-blown crisis. Meanwhile, El Niño events--the warm pooling of Pacific waters that periodically drives worldwide climate patterns and has been occurring more frequently in global-warming years--further inhibit precipitation in dry areas of Africa and East Asia.”Global Warming Heats Up Sunday, Mar. 26, 2006 By Jeffrey Kluger.
Global warming is heating up our planet because hurricanes from warm waters, which gain wind speeds of at least 74 miles per hour. For a hurricane to occur, the ocean surface must be at least 80 degrees F. Higher temperatures cause water to evaporate faster, causing watershortages, which puts crops and livestock at risk. Also, warmer climets will have more heavier rainfalls and more flooding. Ocean waters are heating up, which puts stress on marine ecosystems and sea life, also melting the iceburgs in the north poles, from pollution, overfishing and habitat destruction.
Wildfires come from hot, dry conditions, which can easily spark a small flame that turns into huge wildfiles. Recent warmer seasons and milder winters fuels the fires literally. This will also raise more tree-eating beetles who dries out tress making dry wood that help fuel forest fires. Because milder winters allows the beetles to survive in regions where they could not before. Fires also destory our nation's most treatured resources, the forests.
Because of these wildfires, abnormal warmer conditions, and water shortages in certain parts of the world, put lives of popullation, livestock and crops at risk. “Summer droughts could hit important grain-producing and grazing regions especially hard. Losses in grain production mean higher food prices here in the U.S. and less food going to impoverished nations overseas.” Bloomfield, Janine Ph.D. Environmental Defense. "A Time to Reap," 1999. U.S. Geological Society. Definitions of Drought. Water shortages could also increase temperature and longer warmer seasons which will likely reduce water supplies in arid places like Colorado, Nevada and California because in chemical action, snow would fall as rain. Meaning, reducing snowpack and earlier, quicker melts in the spring make for lower stream flows in the summer, when water can be in short supply.
There still a chance where we can step in and do our best to lessen the fuel of global warming, such as saving energy, reduce emissions of heat-trapping gases, which Governments, individuals, and businesses can all help out. For example, governments can adopt a range of options for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, including, increasing energy efficiency standards, encouraging the use of renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power. Also, eliminating subsidies that encourage the use of coal and oil by making them artificially cheap. Protecting and restoring forests, which serve as important storehouses of carbon.
Individuals can help out by reducing the need for fossil fuels and often save money by driving less and driving more fuel-efficient and less-polluting cars. Using energy-efficient appliances at home, insulating homes to keep from using too much air conditions or heaters. Also use less electricity in general. Businesses such as Wal-mart, Google, and etc. can increase efficiency and save substantial sums by doing the same things on a lager scale. And utilities can avoid building expensive new power plants by encouraging and helping customers to adopt efficiency measures.
With one small step, we all can contribute to our environment and save our Earth for the better future. Our environment is both important to us, and the animals that struggle to survive on the same planet, and sky.

Over the weekend
Over the weekend, I bought some gifts for my nephews, then today, we went to meet them at a buffet restaurant. Then we ate, and talked until we can't eat anymore. Then we planned on going to my cousin Joyce's house. Their new home is so beautiful, well besides all the traces of children living there. haha. But they painted their entrance walls Red, wow they're so brave. I would never think about it.. It was as red as a red rose.. wowzers. But I love the upstairs area, it's really nice too. After we went to Joyce's house, my aunty, uncle, mom and I went to have some coffee/tea at Starbucks! That was yummy, I miss those mixed coffees! ^____^; yumm.. After that, we went to Von's to look around, my aunt and uncle needed to buy a few things. xD Then we all went home. The End lol! (Owari)

When I arrived, the students were asked to stand outside at the football field. There I met a few of my friends. Some of the students left the school, some had to stay because their cars were parked at a certain parking lot, so they couldn't get to it. I learned all of this news from my friend. There were 5 police cars checking around the school. Well, my friends and I decided to leave the school, so we walked to the side of the school, had to climb over the fence, and walk to my friends parking lot. Yes, I know that's kind of awkward, but ridding with my friend at the time, is probably better than ridding the bus home.
Anyway, I did call mom right after hearing the news, just so that she knows. But I hope the school is fine, and nobody got hurt.

It sure is hot!
how is everyone doing in this heat..
@_@ I hope you all are doing ok, don't die out there. D:
Today my Mom and I went to the mall, it was soooo crowded, and full people! and and.. o-o It was sooooo hot! eep!! I think it's like 101 F or something. :O The Nordstrom Cafe was all lined up with people waiting to order something, and the food court is like full of people too.
It was like an oven outside. I wonder how the animals like the birds survive outside. D: Anyway, at the mall, mom wanted to find one of those heavy iron pots so we got one. It's suppose to make the food taste better. ^_^ We're going to cook with it tonight, when the weather cools down, we're going to buy some food to cook.
Soo.. I'm planning on going to school tomorrow. Because I have a quiz on Thursday, so yeah, because on Tuesday is only about 2 hours so its ok. But if I don't want to go to dance I guess it's ok.
Ah well, I'm going now. See ya later.

x.x
Yesterday, Mom told me to go buy some lubricant to stop the sqeaking of the garage door. Then today, we tried it and it still squeaked. Mom's master bathroom got some cracks between the tiles, so we got some sealer to hopefully seal it up.
The doctor told me to take the medicine for 10 days, so hopefully I can go to school next week. Mom said from now on, I need to sleep early and get up early, so Mom won't get mad.
(yes, from now on, I shall write in pink xD)

Progress: I've called them today, (Thursday) and I've set up a schedual for the interview!! Wish me luck! :D
Progress II: Well, I went to the interview, it was actually kind of nice, because, I thought we had to go to a small office room and there be, a table, two chairs, me and the interviewing lady/gent. But all we did was just go to the back end of the store so it was ok. Anyway, she asked me about if im good with math, if i like to read, checked my fall semester schedual. etc. etc. It was really brief, but she said, she'll call me again and i would need to bring my passport & or my ID. Which I need to get from the DMV. XD o-o;; And the 2nd time is to have an interview with the Board of Directors of the store.. (i think it's called).

i was in Taipei the last 2 weeks. It was lots of fun. i took a lot of pictures too! ^_^;;
I can't believe my dad got a flat screen tv
<.< that lil sneak. but it was fun watching it anyway.
I sort of miss the ppl in Taiwan. I would really love to live there. but if i don't have money, i would have to live w/ my dad. Which im not so sure about.
i wish i could stay there. but i gtg to school here. and some of my friends are here too.
but yeah.. the weather was sooo hot in taiwan.. x.x. it was like an oven! O_O
i took the granola car across the moutains. the trees are a beautiful, lush green color! So amazing. It was so peaceful and quiet. o-o there are some ppl who live in old houses, i wonder how do they keep away from all the mosquitoes.
When I was about to enter 1st grade, I had to move to america, (where i am now) because my mom told me to study in america. Which i think is nice, but it's rather big. and everywhere we go, we'll have to drive. but we are sort of in the moutain area. soooo it is a lot more peaceful. than living in the apartments in the city of Taipei.
